Cato Networks Intros Private PoP for Service Providers

SASE provider Cato Networks introduced Cato Private PoP. This offering is designed to allow service providers (SPs) to deliver managed SASE services over their own network infrastructure. With this, enterprise customers gain a migration path to the Cato SASE cloud platform, while SPs can leverage connectivity to deliver SASE services in a seamless, resilient manner.

Traditionally, service providers struggle with shifting from MPLS to SASE due to appliance-based network architecture complexity. Cato’s Private PoP seeks to address this challenge by helping SPs deliver differentiated managed SASE services with little operational overhead across their existing network infrastructure. This includes security (FWaaS, SWG, IPS, DNS, NGAM, Sandbox, ZTNA, CASB, DLP, RBI and IoT/OT Security) and networking (SD-WAN, acceleration and DEM) options.

Hosted within the SPs own network infrastructure, Cato Private PoP helps locally maintain traffic, optimize network performance and promote security and compliance. Cato manages the software lifecycle, including automated software, patch and feature updates, and tacks on multi-tenant management, co-branding and co-management.

“Cato Private PoP lets service providers win the SASE game on their terms,” said Cato area VP of global service providers, Jason Pender. “They are able to retain control of their network infrastructure and protect existing revenues while offering an industry-leading SASE solution that enterprises now demand—with none of the operational complexity associated with legacy vendors.”

Cato Private PoP is generally available for SPs worldwide.
