Cloud Technology Partners Gains AWS Migration Competency

Cloud Technology Partners has achieved the AWS Migration Competency designation from Amazon Web Services (AWS).

CTP has developed the Cloud Adoption Program, which emphasizes not only traditional migration capabilities, but also migration preparation including economic analysis, portfolio assessments, security and governance evaluations and organizational change management. Post-migration, CTP provides a portfolio of services that enable customers to effectively manage their AWS environments as they continue to scale.

“We are leading cloud adoption initiatives for enterprises that see the immense value of the cloud as a transformational technology. Our collaboration with AWS has been instrumental in ensuring that our clients are successful every step of the way,” said Rob Lancaster, vice president of Global Alliances, Cloud Technology Partners. “Our recognition as an AWS Migration Competency partner demonstrates our commitment to moving enterprise workloads to AWS, and ensures we continue to deliver the best cloud solutions available.”

CTP recently completed a program for Avid Technology, the professional audio and video production company. During the project, CTP migrated Avid’s enterprise and customer-facing applications from a traditional hosting company to the AWS Cloud while optimizing operations in several areas.

“We wanted to further increase our agility, accelerate adding value to the business and move even more quickly than before. We couldn’t achieve those goals with the vendor and model we had in place,” said Jonathan Thomas, CIO of Avid.

“Many clients understand the benefits of migrating to the cloud, but making it happen is another story. By combining our team of cloud experts with the power and flexibility of the AWS infrastructure, the Cloud Adoption Program represents a unique opportunity for businesses to make a smooth and efficient transition to AWS,” said Robert Christiansen, vice president and cloud adoption practice lead, Cloud Technology Partners.
