CloudJumper announced today the immediate availability of its Cloud Workspace Management Suite (CWMS) on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.
The news is being made at the 2018 IT Nation event in Orlando, where CloudJumper is highlighting the recent integration of CWMS with the Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop solution.
CWMS provisions, manages, and optimizes Windows workspaces in Azure with full Office 365 integration. Using an Office 365 email address and password, users can access a fully interactive desktop in the Azure cloud or stream RemoteApp applications to a local device. CWMS creates and manages Remote Desktop Sessions and Windows Virtual Desktops (WVD) with full integration to the Office 365 suite and access to files stored in OneDrive or Azure Files.
CWMS also provides administrators with the tools to manage Cloud Workspace deployments, including:
- Patent pending Wake on Demand technology and automated workload scheduling to minimize IaaS costs;
- Full application installation, scripting, and repository environment;
- Management of application rights, access, and delivery;
- System health and performance monitoring;
- Integrated backup and disaster recovery with native support for Azure Snapshots;
- Best-practice security configurations to limit access to session servers to only required ports via Azure resource groups;
- Enhanced security with automatically enabled Microsoft anti-malware for Azure; and
- A fully customized, and simpler Microsoft 365 workspace for employees.
The integrated CloudJumper/Microsoft solution delivers all of the elements required to rapidly orchestrate Windows Virtual Desktops on Microsoft Azure, the company says. With customized adaptation to the Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop solution, administrators can eliminate complexity while driving incredible efficiencies for the IT solution partner and business customer.
The agile solution provides intelligent auto-scaling that allows on-demand expansion or contraction of virtual desktops as needed. The solution also provides unified management and oversight for the administrator, reducing maintenance requirements and enhancing both functionality and service levels.
CloudJumper offers an integrated cloud-based experience that streamlines the delivery of business applications and corporate file systems using a full-featured Microsoft Windows desktop from anywhere and on any device. Users benefit from CloudJumper’s patented Wake On-Demand capability, which optimizes cloud infrastructure service utilization and costs when the platform is not in use. Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop administrators retain complete control, security, and auditability for compliance through an intuitive browser-based management system that reduces support costs, increases service quality, and improves responsiveness.
“2019 will be here soon and analysts are forecasting widespread adoption of cloud-based desktops and applications by organizations globally in the coming year. CloudJumper is working with MSPs and other IT solution providers to help administrators capitalize on the efficiencies, cost savings, and high productivity rates promised by these solutions,” said Max Pruger, chief revenue officer for CloudJumper. “As one of the premier managed services events, IT Nation is the ideal venue to formally announce the availability of our solution in Azure Marketplace for fast access and reliable delivery of our solution suite.”
