Cologix has announced the acquisition of COLO-D. This acquisition integrates COLO-D’s best-in-breed Hyperscale Edge campus in Montreal with Cologix’s leading interconnection ecosystem and data center platform.
COLO-D adds 50MW of hyperscale data center capacity to Cologix’s existing Montreal footprint, which spans seven data centers throughout the region. The acquisition solidifies Cologix’s leading position in Montreal and reinforces their commitment and investment to bring highly connected capacity to the Montreal market in order to serve as the connective tissue supporting the rapid data center growth throughout the province.
Cologix will deploy over $500M in data infrastructure investment throughout their Montreal footprint by the end of 2019 including a 12,000 square foot, N+1, 3MW expansion in their downtown MTL7 data center and an expansion of COLO-D’s D2 data center.
Collectively the companies now offer choice of over 80 networks and direct on-ramps to leading global hyperscale service providers including AWS, MicrosoftAzure, Google Cloud Platform and IBM Cloud.
