CompTIA, the non-profit association for the information technology (IT) industry, has expanded its education and training curriculum for IT channel companies with the introduction of three new sales playbooks on emerging market opportunities.
Playbooks on advanced communications, cloud-based telephony and mobile device management are included in CompTIA’s Winter 2014 Channel Training Catalog.
“Our Sales Playbooks have quickly become among the most popular of our training offerings for the IT channel,” said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education at the association.
The new focus areas cover how cloud is making VoIP services both more accessible to the end-user and more viable as an offering for a broader number of solution providers; the impact of bring-your-own device (BYOD) and the ability of mobile workers to access data outside the office on device management; and the advanced communications at the cornerstone of the mobile connected workplace, like video conferencing, cloud-delivered applications or unified communication and collaboration.
“Solution providers are using these resources as a foundation to establish their own, customized sales playbook and to enhance their sales training and marketing message development,” Ricker continued. “We’ve engaged some of the top minds in the IT channel to develop the latest batch of Sales Playbooks.”
The playbooks combine workshop sessions with templates and training materials designed to help IT sales teams hone their skills in prospecting activities and sales campaigns for emerging technology solutions. Playbooks on cloud-based storage and cloud-based backup and recovery were introduced earlier this year.
