Covata Expands in Australia with Macquarie

Covata has expanded its presence Down Under: it has signed a reseller agreement with Macquarie Telecom to distribute its flagship product, Safe Share, to Australian federal government agencies.

The agreement comes as interest from government bodies around the world intensifies with ever-increasing cybersecurity threats.

“Safe Share is a product built on the Covata Security Platform. Its DNA as a product is security from the outset – not an afterthought,” said Covata founder and CEO Trent Telford. “We believe that government and enterprise around the globe are looking to procure secure SaaS services such as Safe Share from existing trusted vendors; telcos and MSPs are often the incumbent provider of these. Adding Safe Share to these trusted services makes for simpler procurement and leverages existing trust and compliance the customer and MSP have in place. Safe Share is an ideal solution for federal agencies looking to share information securely (inter-departmental), and ‘outside’ secure Internet gateways to external parties.”

The reseller agreement has an initial term of three years, with options for renewal. The agreement is structured around a subscription model, where the Macquarie will be charged per user per month for licencing Covata’s Safe Share product.
