Cox Business is targeting the small- to medium-sized business market with VoiceManager IP Centrex, a cloud-based, fully managed phone system that requires no upfront equipment investment and is offered for one monthly fee.
“IP Centrex is ideal for growing organizations that don’t have the time to manage their phone system, but need secure, business-class capabilities,” said Jeff Adelmann, vice president of product development and management of Cox Business. “The cloud-based solution delivers the complexity of traditional PBX or key systems in a reliable, affordable voice system that can be managed remotely. We’re delivering technology our customers need to grow, and that’s our priority at Cox Business.”
IP Centrex, available via the company’s channel partners, is hosted in the cloud over Cox Business’ private network, providing built-in business continuity to minimize the impact of natural disasters or malicious network attacks.
“There’s a significant need for managed services among small businesses because owners and IT managers are realizing the benefits of having technology managed securely offsite,” said program director and industry analyst Matt Davis of IDC.
All VoiceManager IP Centrex customers receive Cisco SPA phones with HD voice.
“We’ve cut our communications costs in half and increased productivity by working with Cox Business for our voice and data needs,” said Steve Graceffa, founder and president of Exnihilo, a Rhode Island based professional services firm delivering e-business strategies and custom online solutions for clients. “IP Centrex is the most cutting-edge voice system we’ve used and it’s easy to manage because Cox Business takes care of everything.”
