DC Blox Welcomes VP of Data Center Design & Engineering

DC BLOX, a provider of interconnected multi-tenant data centers that deliver the infrastructure and connectivity essential to power digital business, announce that John R. Dumler P.E. has been named as Vice President of Data Center Design and Engineering.

Dumler reports directly to Mark Masi, EVP of Development, Engineering and Construction. Together, they will oversee and manage the design and engineering of all DC BLOX data center facilities, each leveraging extensive experience in construction, commissioning, operations, and sustainability.

Dumler fortifies DC BLOX’s data center engineering team, enabling the company to continue to build, own and operate multi-tenant data centers in smaller growing cities across the Southeast.

As the Vice President of Data Center Design and Engineering, Dumler is responsible to ensure all of DC BLOX facilities are engineered with state-of-the-art designs and technologies to support world-class reliability and efficiency for digital infrastructure solutions. With increasing requirements for edge computing, business continuity, and environmentally friendly power usage, efficient data center design is critical to enterprise digital transformation.

Prior to joining DC BLOX, Dumler served as the Director of Energy and Engineering for Digital Realty, where he led strategic and tactical initiatives including operational energy efficiency and engineering effectiveness across a global portfolio of more than 200 data centers. With more than 20 years of experience in engineering, software development and innovation, Dumler has designed data centers as a buyer and seller. His experience offers clients, tenants, and internal stakeholders’ opportunities to drive energy efficiency in data center deployments.
