Dell Rolls Out Support Services and Security Solutions for PCs

Dell Technologies rolled out new support services and security solutions for promoting a “modern, intelligent and secure PC experience for employees.”

The ProSupport Suite for PCs includes capabilities that build on existing artificial intelligence (AI) and “always-on” approaches to IT support, making it easier and more customizable, while also adding endpoint security services to enhance verification and provide other below-the-OS protections.

The software specifically supports improved productivity and uptime with elements for customizing IT support, including IT management tools, actionable information for the PC fleet, remote workflows and other features for channel partners and their customers.

Dell’s Trusted Devices security portfolio, meanwhile, helps protect Dell commercial PCs throughout the supply chain and device lifecycle, offering a suite of security solutions that leverage intelligence to prevent, detect and respond to threats with improved mean-time-to-detect (MTTD) and mean-time-to-resolution (MTTR). Specific capabilities include:

  • Advanced Secure Component Verification.
  • Intel Management Engine Verification.
  • Dell Trusted Device Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) integration.

“The role of IT has never been more important. While the mission remains the same – keep everyone productive and systems up and running – the operations behind it have become a lot more complicated, especially with the amount of data and opportunities at the edge ever-increasing,” said Doug Schmitt, the President of Services, Dell Technologies. “Our approach to IT services is built on an AI-driven, adaptive, always-on foundation, taking today’s realities and future customer needs into consideration. At the end of the day, the new capabilities are about helping IT leaders see ahead, and stay ahead, while providing workforces around the world the ability to continue collaborating and innovating without disruption.”

New ProSupport Suite for PCs capabilities will be available to new and existing customers directly and through channel partners globally starting October 19th.
