EarthLink has launched its Cloud Disaster Recovery service, the latest in its suite of virtualization solutions available via its channel partners.
A cloud-based replication server that requires minimal resources, Cloud Disaster Recovery protects valuable data, applications and the operating environment from man-made accidents, power outages, natural disasters and server crashes by continuously replicating the primary server environment to an EarthLink next-generation cloud data center. Managed and fully automated, in the event of a failure the solution can be quickly spun up to fully replace the client’s primary servers and keep employees productive and the business up and running.
With geographically-diverse SSAE 16 compliant data centers located throughout the country and linked to EarthLink’s nationwide IP network, customers can choose the best location option for their disaster recovery solution.
“More than ever, IT leaders must tackle complex business challenges with leaner budgets and staff,” said Michael Toplisek, executive vice president of sales and marketing for EarthLink. “Planning ahead with a sound disaster recovery plan is at the top of their list.”
He added, “Our Cloud Disaster Recovery solution is fully-customizable, so whether the client needs to back-up specific data or their entire infrastructure, they purchase only a small amount of computing resources and their required storage, only paying for the full failover environment if it’s activated. Our experts truly consult with customers to create a pre-defined, sound disaster contingency plan that provides them with peace of mind and stability no matter the scenario.”
The DR solution supports multiple IT environments, and offers protection of both physical and virtual servers and software applications such as Exchange, SQL Server and SharePoint. It also features customized e-mail event notification.
