California-based master agency Intelisys is partnering with Carousel Industries to provide the VAR access to cloud and carrier services as part of its sales efforts.
“This partnership between Carousel and Intelisys is in direct alignment with our go-forward strategy to act as a bridge between the IT and telecom worlds,” said Jay Bradley, president of Intelisys.
The deal is an extension of a long-standing arrangement: Though formalized last year, the partnership between the two first began in 2009 when Carousel acquired DayCom, a California-based VAR with which Intelisys already had a working relationship. In the first quarter of 2013, Carousel sold more than $1 million in annual revenue through Intelisys.
“The most valuable aspects of our partnership with Intelisys are the instant broadening of our product portfolio and the ability to take a more consultative approach with customers,” said Tim Kennedy, vice president of carrier services for Carousel, which offers unified communications, managed services, virtualization, VoIP, video conferencing and collaboration and data infrastructure solutions.
“When Intelisys acquired Cloud Services Coalition in early 2012, we knew it was time to take our partnership to the next level,” said Rick Ribas, vice president of partner sales and for Intelisys. “The cloud evolution is the strongest driving force behind the blending of the telecom and IT industries, and what better way to enhance our relationship with a prestigious VAR such as Carousel than to offer them a rock solid gateway into selling cloud.”
