Edgewater Networks has added the EdgeMarc 7000 Series to its family of enterprise session border controllers (ESBC), specifically designed for medium to large enterprise environments. Channel partners can deploy the solution to connect to their customers’ cloud communications services, such as SIP trunking and hosted PBX.
Supporting up to 2,000 concurrent calls, the ESBC provides quality controls for voice services, including VoIP protocol mediation for interoperability and security, traffic management and VoIP survivability to maximize services availability.
The EdgeMarc 7000 Series consists of two individual models. The EdgeMarc 7300 and EdgeMarc 7400. Each provide 3 x 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces, a serial console port and utilize a compact 1RU design. The EdgeMarc 7400 adds a hot-swappable, redundant power supply option. Each of the systems can be deployed in a high availability configuration and support VoIP survivability.
The EdgeMarc 7000 Series is supported by the EdgeView management system, which is used by service providers and enterprise customers to provide visibility into the overall performance of the VoIP network and troubleshoot network impairments that negatively affect call quality. The combination of EdgeView and EdgeMarc systems dramatically reduce operating expenses while improving call quality, security and the end-user experience.
“We are excited to add the EdgeMarc 7000 series to our suite of ESBCs, extending our line of all-in-one solutions for enterprises and service providers looking to ensure the performance of their VoIP services,” said David Norman, CEO of Edgewater Networks.
