Edgewater Networks has partnered with Polycom, Inc. to launch the Unified Communications Multi-Level Intelligence Solution.
The offering enables service providers and enterprises to collect, process and analyze vast amounts of information, including performance and management data, from Polycom Voice endpoints, Edgewater Networks customer premises-based Intelligent Edges and cloud analytics engines. The solution offers provisioning, configuration, proactive troubleshooting and management. The result is visibility into every voice and video call, from the WAN, through the customer LAN, to the Polycom Voice endpoint.
With this complete set of detailed call data and statistics, performance issues and security threats can be proactively diagnosed and remediated centrally via Edgewater Networks’ EdgeView Service Control Center, eliminating the need for costly site visits and local IT intervention.
“The combination of Polycom’s powerful and feature rich endpoints with Edgewater Networks’ Intelligent Edge and Service Control Center will allow our customers the full end-to-end visibility to proactively manage their environments and ensure an optimal end user experience, ” said Jim Kruger, CMO and EVP at Polycom.
Future Edgewater Networks and Polycom collaboration will include continued interoperability testing of current Polycom endpoint products and versions, including Polycom’s RealPresence Trio conferencing solution and VVX business media phones, in Edgewater Networks QuickConnect Interoperability Lab to streamline and simplify customer deployments. Solution interoperability now includes support for Microsoft Skype for Business to compliment Polycom’s market alignment with the Microsoft as well as other providers including Broadsoft and Comcast. Going forward, metadata collected by UC endpoints and two-way active measurement protocol (TWAMP) data will be transmitted directly into Edgewater Networks’ EdgeView Service Control Center, where it will be stored, analyzed and presented to network managers for centralized management and control of the UC deployments.
“Sixty five percent of deployed EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges are connected to Polycom endpoints, a percentage that we expect to increase as end customers realize the depth and breadth of data and actionable intelligence that the UC Multi-Level Intelligence Solution delivers,” said Steve Pattison, COO at Edgewater Networks. “Together, Polycom and Edgewater Networks represent a best-of-breed, complete solution for unified communications that offers a unique value proposition in the marketplace.”
