Value-added distributor Enterhost has hired hosting sales veteran Jason Tayar as director of sales. The new position continues Enterhost’s strategic brand and product repositioning process as the company refocuses on enterprise-level cloud-based IT solutions for businesses.
“Jason is bringing his background of expertise and success to Enterhost to retool our sales engine,” said Kevin Valadez, co-president of Enterhost. “Jason’s deep understanding of the hosting business and his insight into how our products and services can benefit our customers portend a dramatic impact on our company.”
From a product perspective, Enterhost is redirecting to be focused on the capabilities and benefits of Microsoft Lync 2013 Enterprise Voice, making Microsoft’s unified communications suite its flagship product, with a variety of deployment options including its public cloud platform (Lync Hosting Pack v2, or LHPv2), which Enterhost announced earlier this year.
“We are working closely with Jason as we finalize our product repositioning, offers and packages,” continued Valadez. “Our current and prospective customers will appreciate Jason’s expertise and guidance in all matters hosting, particularly when it comes to how hosting and cloud services can reduce overhead and increase productivity.”
Prior to joining Enterhost, Tayar was director of sales for Codero Hosting, based out of Austin, Texas. Previously, he was senior manager of sales development, lead generation and sales operations for Hosting.com, and he held a number of roles for Rackspace Managed hosting both stateside and in the United Kingdom.
Tayar is a graduate of Colorado State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing.
