Equinix has launched two new partner programs designed to make it easy for its referral and master sales agent partners to grow their revenue streams with Equinix beyond colocation. Both the new global Referral partner program and a new U.S.-based Master Sales Agent partner program are targeted at addressing enterprises’ rapid adoption of cloud solutions.
The new global Referral partner program is aimed at a broad scope of technology service providers, including (but not limited to) SIs, VARs and IT and cloud consultants. The program encourages referral partners to introduce Equinix to potential customers. In return, Equinix lends its support via its expert global solutions architects and Solution Validation Centers to help partners close business and make revenue faster. All referral partners need to do is introduce Equinix to the prospect and provide nominal engagement, and Equinix will do the rest. The new program features include a new, more lucrative commission structure, making it easier to earn multiple commissions from existing customers; a faster and friendlier customer referral registration system; and direct access to the Partner Program resources and Partner Central portal.
The Equinix Master Agent Program provides sales and marketing resources spanning sales and technical training, event marketing and demand generation, and generous sales incentives to Equinix Master Agents and their sub-agents. Equinix helps partners grow recurring revenue streams with data center colocation, network offerings and by enabling public/private/hybrid cloud platforms for enterprise customers, says the company. U.S.-based Master Agents receive commissions for business they develop in any of Equinix’s 100+ International Business Exchange (IBX) data centers operating in 32 business metros, in 15 countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
The new Master Sales Agent partner program includes lucrative sales commissions for MSAs and sales agents; guest access to the worldwide Equinix Partner Central portal where partners can download sales and marketing materials, training and tools and request marketing support; smd guest access to the Equinix Marketplace, a private portal for Equinix customers and partners worldwide where they meet to do business.
Also part of both programs are the Equinix Cloud Exchange and Equinix Performance Hub. These two solutions, launched within the past year, help Equinix partners address a range of IT pain points for their customers and sell services that go far beyond colo, says the company. The Equinix Cloud Exchange provides seamless, on-demand and direct access to multiple clouds in multiple Platform Equinix IBX data center locations across the globe. Also, the network virtualization technologies inherent in Equinix Cloud Exchange make companies’ connections to cloud services as elastic and easy-to-provision as the cloud itself.
The Equinix Performance Hub distributes a company’s data center infrastructure across multiple locations so it can accelerate application delivery to employees, customers and partners worldwide. Performance Hubs also help companies streamline their WAN routes to improve network performance while reducing costs, says Equinix. Performance Hub allows users to connect their wide area network or private cloud to multiple cloud providers inside of Equinix IBX data centers.
