Ericsson’s Unified Deliver Network (UDN), known for its content delivery network solution, also offers powerful edge computing capabilities. These capabilities have been combined with Mode’s unique routing algorithms to produce a highly efficient private core network, offered as a cloud service. This self-service cloud private network enables enterprises, security providers, network optimization providers, and other service providers to overcome some of the performance issues of the open internet, as well as the costs and inflexibility of traditional private networks.

The new ecosystem partnership not only helps current Ericsson UDN customers and service provider partners but also will provide incubation for the next wave of edge technologies. According to a 2018 report by Orbis Research, the global cloud private network market is expected to reach USD 35.73 billion by the end of 2022, growing at a CAGR of 14.77 percent between 2016 and 2022.
