FirstLight Fiber, which operates in upstate New York and northern New England, has expanded its Vermont data center, located in Williston, Vt. This expansion will further support local businesses with additional colocation space and low-latency broadband connectivity throughout the Northeast.
“This is the second expansion of our Vermont data center and is part of our multi-phased plan designed to provide ample room for the company and our customers’ continued growth,” said Greg Kelly, senior director of business development and data centers for FirstLight. “Our Vermont data center offers multiple safety, security, and power options and is connected to FirstLight’s carrier grade, fiber optic network providing reliable, scalable bandwidth up to 100 Gbps.”
“As companies continue to grow, so do their needs for premium colocation space to securely house their critical business data,” added Jim Capuano, senior vice president and chief of network operations for FirstLight. “The expansion of this data center leverages FirstLight’s expertise at designing, building and maintaining state of the art facilities. We look forward to continuing to serve customers in Vermont and across the FirstLight footprint.”
