Fortinet Announces CNAPP Enhancements

Cybersecurity company Fortinet updated Lacework FortiCNAPP, a cloud native application protection platform (CNAPP) for securing applications and workloads across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Lacework FortiCNAPP delivers protection for cloud-native applications across the lifecycle, The updates reinforce FortiCNAPP as a cloud-native security platform that delivers improved detection, insight and operations at scale. Key features include:

  • Real-time CloudTrail alerting, for near-instant detection of critical activity, such as compromised credentials or anomalous API behavior.

  • Explorer (Security Graph), a visual, interactive view of attack paths and asset relationships to help pinpoint and investigate exposure.

  • Agentless Windows scanning for workloads across any cloud.

  • Fleet management, with visibility across large environments into agent inventory, health and deployment status.

Fortinet also expanded its cloud services for web applications and APIs by introducing new service bundles such as Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), CDN and SoC-as-a-Service, in addition to its AI-powered zero-day threat detection, analysis and remediation. It also announced that the FortiAppSec cloud service, FortiMail workspace security, FortiNDR Cloud, FortiSIEM and Fortinet incident response services are now available for AWS Marketplace.
