Part of a new charitable endeavor, voice and data provider GLOBALINX is lending support to the British Columbia-based Vancouver Aquarium.
A not for profit organization and member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), the Vancouver Aquarium boasts a reputation as one of the top ranked members of AZA. Known for its volunteer program, it has been sought out by some of the biggest organizations in its field including the San Diego Zoo for assistance with its own volunteer program. To help the efforts of the Vancouver Aquarium, GLOBALINX has donated a group of videophones and the accompanying service to foster the development of school programs. CEO Craig Jerabeck added “GLOBALINX is happy to partner with the Vancouver Aquarium and make an impact on children’s education in the process.”
With the addition of video calling capabilities, the aquarium will be able to provide real time educational videos while its Aquavan service, a mobile educational laboratory offering school programs throughout British Columbia, will benefit as well.
