ROCHESTER, N.Y. – In an effort to help combat the prevalence and stifle the impact of breast cancer, voice and data provider GLOBALINX has undertaken an in-house charitable initiative.
GLOBALINX asked is employees, as part of breast cancer awareness month, to wear pink on Tuesday. Along with bringing attention to the disease, the company acknowledged a donation will be made on behalf of each employee that participated in the event.
While GLOBALINX participates in several charitable endeavors annually, the impact in the number of individuals affected by the disease makes it a special event. Sharing his insight on the campaign, CEO Craig Jerabeck said, “I think it is safe to say that everyone has a friend or loved one who has been afflicted by this terrible disease, so all 270 of our employees are working together to help find a cure.”
In addition to raising awareness internally, GLOBALINX parent company, 5LINX, offers credit card processing services through its independent representatives. For each new account, a $25 donation is made in addition to a monthly percentage on active accounts, while providing a pink terminal to promote breast cancer awareness.
All donations through GLOBALINX internal campaign and 5LINX credit card processing services benefit the Susan G Komen foundation and aid in the funding of breast cancer research.
