GoTo – a company that offers IT management, support and business communications products – named CMO, Peter Mahoney as CCO, a role in which he will oversee sales and marketing efforts. Additionally, Nicholas Asadorian, GoTo’s VP of corporate financial planning & analysis, was appointed to interim CFO.
In the newly created CCO role, Mahoney will continue to oversee marketing in addition to sales, which was previously led by former CRO, Bill Robinson. Asadorian will take over CFO duties from CEO Rich Veldran, who had been acting as joint CEO and CFO since his appointment to the lead executive role in January 2024.
“After assuming the role of CEO six months ago, I’ve worked with our entire executive team to discover new opportunities for GoTo and continue to push the company into our next phase of growth,” says Veldran. “Both Peter and Nick bring a high-level of operational savviness to their roles, and these moves reinforce that operational rigor and planning remain a top priority in pursuit of a strong go-to-market strategy.”
Mahoney joined GoTo as CMO in August 2023, and brings 35+ years of experience in general management, marketing and product development. He was founder and CEO of Plannuh (now Planful) and GM of the Dragon voice recognition and healthcare documentation businesses at Nuance Communications, in addition to serving as company CMO.
Asadorian has been a part of the GoTo team for over eight years; he most recently led financial planning and analysis. His prior experience includes nearly a decade at Dell EMC, through which he held several key roles across the corporate finance organization.
