Gphone Targets Larger Businesses with BroadSoft Upgrade

GlobalPhone Corp. (Gphone) will upgrade its hosted PBX and unified communications (UC) offering by migrating to BroadCloud—a move that will allow it to expand its focus beyond small and medium-sized businesses into large enterprises.

BroadCloud is a fully-managed hosted service that enables Gphone to speed time-to-market for delivering comprehensive UC services to business customers. It will now power UC-One, which makes voice, video, business directories, call logs and instant messaging and presence available on a single application.

“BroadCloud allows Gphone to easily scale our business, while covering the full business customer lifecycle, from initial quote to service activation and support with integrated UC services,” said Guy Jazynka, COO at Gphone. “With the seamless introduction of these additional features and functionality it will allow us to target larger, more technically sophisticated customers, while at the same time offering our existing customer base a value added suite of features.”

Since 2004, Gphone has leveraged the BroadWorks platform to deliver hosted PBX services to small businesses and mid-market enterprises across the United States via channel partners. Gphone sought a cloud-based solution that would allow the firm to scale within existing market segments and expand into larger enterprise segments as well.

“Gphone’s hosted, UC, PBX and SIP trunking services, powered by BroadCloud, will provide its business customers with the ability to rapidly deploy and benefit from innovative communications services,” said Josh Holmberg, vice president of sales at BroadSoft. “GlobalPhone is now positioned to scale from SMBs up to large enterprise customers, and we are thrilled they have selected BroadCloud to anchor this offering.”
