Hurricane Electric, large IPv6-native internet backboned, it has deployed a Point of Presence (PoP) in Datacenter SyT in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as well as one in Telesmart Skopje in Skopje, North Macedonia.

The Argentina location is at 128 Suipacha, Buenos Aires, 1401, Argentina, and the Europe location is at NN Nikola Parapunov, Skopje 1000, North Macedonia.

The carrier-neutral data center in Argentina is operated by Servicios y Telecomunicaciones and offers customers 9,300 square feet of space including remote hands, rack cabinets, office space, and individual server hosting. The facility has a direct connection to the Buenos Aires IXP, direct connection to the FL-IX in Florida and access to multiple TIER 1 international transit providers.

Argentina is one of the largest economies in South America, dependent on manufacturing, services, and tourism. Buenos Aires is the largest port in the country and a center for financial services, manufacturing and technology, housing the majority of tech companies in the country.

Datacenter SyT serves these businesses by providing 24/7 monitoring, multiple cooling systems with alternative power supplies, an uninterrupted power supply, and a double triphasic power supply line on every rack.

This PoP is Hurricane Electric’s first location in Argentina and eighth in South America and will provide the region with improved fault tolerance, load balancing and congestion management in the delivery of next-generation IP connectivity services.

Telesmart Skopje is located 11.5 miles from the Skopje International Airport in the economic, cultural, and academic center of the country, which is home to the European Union’s European Institute of Innovation and Technology innovation hub designed to provide local entrepreneurs, innovators and learners with innovation support and connect them to the European innovation ecosystem. This PoP facility is connected to significant European nodes, including the node in Vienna.

The facility serves North Macedonia’s growing economy with a range of services, including IP, IP VPN, and colocation. The data center uses the latest in technologies for climate control, and fire detection and prevention. Redundant power supplies ensure uptime for clients. It is monitored 24/7 with access control to ensure secure operations.

The PoP is Hurricane Electric’s first location in North Macedonia and sixth in southern Europe and will provide the region with improved fault tolerance, load balancing and congestion management in the delivery of next-generation IP connectivity services.
