Integra Boosts Bandwidth Across Montana

Business services specialist Integra is wiring up Big Sky Country with the completion of a big expansion of its IP and carrier Ethernet network infrastructure in the state of Montana. The expansion particularly increases bandwidth in the Billings and Bozeman metro areas.

By connecting its backbone national IP network to its metro network in the state, Integra and its channel partners can now deliver its complete portfolio of bandwidth-intensive enterprise offerings, including Carrier Ethernet services, IP/MPLS VPN, and managed and cloud services, including Integra’s hosted voice service and cloud firewall service, to businesses throughout Billings and Bozeman. Integra’s Montana customers also now have high-bandwidth Internet connectivity nationwide.

“Integra has deep roots in Montana, with more than 15 years serving businesses in its economically diverse, hard-working communities,” said Joseph Harding, CMO of Integra. “Driven by several fast-growing industries, Billings and Bozeman are rich with businesses that need reliable, high-bandwidth network solutions backed by a level of personalized service they have come to expect from Integra. These are exciting times in the state of Montana and we’re proud to put our people and capital to work to help support this growth.”

This expansion is part of an ongoing strategic initiative by Integra to meet demand for its carrier Ethernet services and other enterprise solutions from industries such as health care, government and education as well as professional services, the company said. In Montana, Integra has extended its capacity with Ethernet-over-copper-based services supporting network bandwidths of up to 100Mbps and fiber-based services offering speeds up to 1Gbps.

In Billings, Integra’s expansion puts nearly 100 business locations on or near Integra’s fiber-based network, which the city sees as an economic boon.

“We’re honored to see technology companies like Integra recognize the outstanding prospects for business that Billings has to offer,” said Billings Mayor Thomas Hanel. “Integra’s investment in building out its network presence, as well as the company’s longstanding commitment to this region, is good news for Billings and for the businesses that they serve.”
