ITRenew, which provides circular cloud and sustainable data center infrastructure, teamed with Vapor IO to introduce a “near-premises” solution. This technology promises on-premises computing benefits without requiring an investment in on-site data center or IT equipment.
The integrated product includes cloud and storage technology from Sesame by ITRenew, mixed with Vapor IO edge-to-edge colocation, networking and interconnection services.
ITRenew noted that its rack-scale systems becoming available on Vapor IO’s Kinetic Grid platform should deliver performance that “rivals on-premises data centers” and provides access to “hyperscale-grade” IT for powering next-gen applications. The release is also expected to streamline adoption of cloud robotics, 5G private wireless, Internet of Things and other Industry 4.0 innovations.
The offering will first be available in Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Pittsburgh, with plans for nationwide expansion.
