ITsavvy Names Public Sector Sales head

Channel distributor ITsavvy is expanding its public sector footprint with a dedicated business segment led by Brian Fields, senior director of sales, Public Sector.

ITsavvy president and CEO Mike Theriault said, “ITsavvy has been a key presence in the public sector market for IT products and technology solutions for many years. In fact, this is one of our fastest growing client segments. In an effort to better support our current and future public sector clients, we have created a dedicated business segment; setting in motion policies, processes and technical support specific to the public sector.”

He continued, “Brian has 17 years of success growing a public sector practice. Leveraging his expertise and insight, the division is already staffed with industry-leaders who have deep field experience across the public sector spectrum.”

ITsavvy offers access to more than 1,000,000 products in 46 distribution centers. The company offers certified expertise in managed services, engineered solutions, cloud solutions and unified communications. Its recently-expanded Configuration Lab caps the end-to-end procurement process with hardware that is shipped ready to deploy.

Fields said, “It is a great honor to be a part of ITsavvy. We have a strong team of client executives who are experienced in federal, state, local, and education procurement. ITsavvy has a reputation for sustaining mutually beneficial client relationships. Our one-to-one support, volume pricing and industry-leading ecommerce capabilities are proving to be significant value-add differentiators.”

Current public sector clients include multiple school districts and educational institutions, the U.S. Air Force, Navy, and USDA. In additional to numerous contracts in process, current contracts/agreements include TIPS/TAPS, MEEC, and ERATE.
