Liebo Takes Helm for Cisco Partner Marketing

Sherri Liebo has taken up her post this week as Cisco’s new vice president of global partner marketing, filling the hole left by Karen Walker last fall.

In her new role, Liebo will take on ultimate responsibility for Cisco’s global partner marketing programs and initiatives, from the Marketing Velocity conference (scheduled for next month in Cannes, France) to managing the offerings and co-marketing resources available via Cisco Partner Marketing Central.

Shehas been at Cisco since 2005, most recently leading marketing for Cisco Services, but also putting in stints as vice president of services and service provider marketing, and vice president of customer segments marketing. She also drove the creation and launch of Smart Care, a Cisco Smart Service tailored for services attachment opportunities in small business and midmarket customer engagements.

“Sherri’s leadership of Global Partner Marketing will cover our Strategic Partner Marketing, Channel Programs, Services Partner Marketing and Strategic Partner Communications teams, all of which will work closely with the Cisco’s Worldwide Partner Organization (WWPO), sales organizations and regional marketing teams to help drive growth and profitability for our entire partner ecosystem,” said Bruce Klein, senior vice president of Cisco’s Worldwide Partner Organization, in a blog post.

He added, “We’ve been without a full-time global partner marketing lead since last fall, and I personally want to thank, [Walker] for leading the effort to keep our partner marketing programs strong during that transition.”
