Mako Networks, which offers secure, cloud-managed networking for distributed enterprises, appointed Jon Kelly as CRO.
Kelly has a track record of driving innovation and growth in the petroleum sector. It is expected that his entrepreneurial spirit and strategic expertise will propel Mako’s expansion across key markets such as fuel stations, convenience stores, quick-serve restaurants (QSRs) and retail.
“Jon’s extensive experience and leadership in the petro industry make him an extraordinary addition to the Mako leadership team,” said Simon Gamble, the president and co-founder of Mako Networks. “As we double down on our focus in the petro market and expand into other retail industries like QSRs, Jon’s strategic vision and go-to-market expertise will be instrumental in delivering exceptional growth and value for our customers and partners.”
After years with ExxonMobil, Kelly founded and served as the CEO of Canary Compliance, a SaaS company specializing in IoT connectivity and software for petroleum fueling equipment. Following Canary’s acquisition by Titan Cloud Software, Kelly served as Titan’s SVP of business development, further solidifying his reputation as a transformative growth leader.
In his new role, he will spearhead sales, marketing and customer success, driving growth and ensuring the company’s solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of distributed enterprises.
“I’m excited to join Mako Networks and help take the company to new heights, especially in the retail sector where secure and scalable networking solutions are critical,” said Kelly. “Mako’s secure, cloud-managed solutions have already set a high standard in the industry, and I’m eager to build on this success. I look forward to expanding our market presence in petro and beyond, ensuring our customers and partners meet their growth objectives.”
“Industries with geographically dispersed retail locations such as petroleum and quick-service restaurants demand secure, always-on connectivity to maintain operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences and safeguard sensitive data,” said Mako Networks CEO, Jason Kubasak. “Our history of serving these sectors uniquely positions Mako to address their challenges in adopting new digital technologies. We’re excited for Jon to help us capitalize on these opportunities, further demonstrating our ability to meet the evolving needs of industries where secure and scalable networking is a necessity.”
