Menlo Security Partners with Google Cloud

Menlo Security has announced a new partnership with Google Cloud to deliver its comprehensive browser security solution to enterprises. Menlo Security will expand its global usage of Google Cloud’s infrastructure and collaborate with Mandiant on threat research.

The Menlo Secure Enterprise Browser works with all local browsers to prevent and detect known and unknown browser threats. In partnership with Google Cloud, the Menlo Security browser security solution now includes major new capabilities to manage local policies for browsers, protect enterprise users from evasive ransomware and phishing attacks and secure access to applications and corporate data.

Mandiant will also strengthen its browser security expertise through training provided by Menlo threat research. The strengthened security partnership allows mutual customers to take advantage of integrated products such as Google Chronicle Security Operations and VirusTotal Threat Intelligence.

“Partnering with Google Cloud enhances our AI capabilities, expands our global reach through the Google Cloud platform, and strengthens Mandiant’s browser security expertise,” said Menlo Security CEO Amir Ben-Efraim. “The new capabilities bring added depth to browser security for enterprises without adding user or management complexity. With Google Cloud and Menlo Security, enterprises can focus on securing the application edge without the need for replacement browsers.”

Menlo’s Google Cloud partnership is a win for partners

According to Menlo Security vice president of global channel Todd Wilson, the browser is now a key target for threat actors. Menlo Security partners can leverage the company’s new Google Cloud partnership to help customers reduce their attack surface and strengthen enterprise security.

“Google is the worldwide market share leader for browsers, with Chrome,” Wilson explained. “Our solution is cloud-based and supports all browsers. Pairing that with what our channel partners are telling us, that enterprises continue to execute their digital transformation plans, including moving to modern SaaS-delivered applications, the browser becomes not just a common application, but the primary application that enterprises and users rely on.”

“Securing the browser is not just securing a small application, it is securing the entire enterprise, and the browser now more than ever becomes the entry point for key applications and with that the entry point for threat actors as well,” Wilson continued. “Our partners will have the support and resources of both Google and Menlo Security when delivering a secure enterprise browser solution for their customers and prospects.”

Last year, Menlo Security announced a partner program investment and initiative to drive international growth. The company remains committed to growing its partner program and expanding into new markets.

Menlo Security is also planning to launch a global professional and managed services program for all partners later in 2024.

“We have significantly expanded our channel dedicated teams globally with new folks in all global regions — Americas, EMEA, APAC, and Japan,” Wilson explained. “We have been investing heavily in regional events with channel partners, and we have launched partner advisory boards globally as well.”

The company is looking forward to connecting with partners at the upcoming RSA Conference (May 6-9 in San Francisco).

“We have a number of events and sessions planned for RSA, so please reach out to us via menlosecurity.com to learn more about the Google partnership and how we are helping CIOs and CISO address browser security across key areas — VDI cost reduction, modern Zero Trust Access, modern phishing and ransomware prevention and securing generative AI/ChatGPT,” Wilson said. “We are excited to connect with you!”
