Microsoft Issues Updates for Cloud Solution Provider Partners

Microsoft introduced a series of updates for helping cloud solution provider (CSP) partners drive renewals and upgrades, retain customers, upsell and scale their businesses. At the same time, Microsoft is deepening its investment in partners that deliver transformational impact with customers, aligned to its strategic imperatives.

The announcements are a continuation of Microsoft’s investments in CSP offers, capabilities and enablement. These include:

  • Copilot on every device across every role.
  • AI design wins with every customer.
  • Securing the cyber foundation of every customer.
  • Migrations.
  • Microsoft 365 core execution.
  • 70 percent of total partner incentives to partners that serve the SME customer segments.
  • Capabilities to help partners access, review and respond to jointly planned leads, shared by SME customer sellers, and track progress and performance between Partner Center and MSX.
  • New promotions, including a new-to-Microsoft 365 E5 offer to help CSP partners win new customers.

Plus, Microsoft Introduced three-year subscription terms in CSP to expand deal-making capabilities and offer a more consistent experience across purchasing channels. This includes those transitioning from expiring enterprise agreements. Microsoft is launching three-year subscription terms for 365 E3 and E5, with or without Teams, as well as Teams Enterprise licenses in CSP, on June 1. They will be available for purchase with three-year upfront or triennial/annual billing options.

Finally, Microsoft launched a channel transfers interface, in Partner Center, to help partners renew expiring EA offers for Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 with Teams and Office 365 E1, E3 and E5 with Teams—which are EOS—into CSP and maintain the customers’ Teams entitlements. The company also introduced AI-powered automation to streamline midterm upgrades by automatically handling subscription cancellations and credits to reduce duplicate SKUs and a reduction of support resolution times down to one day or less.
