Minerva Rakes in $7.5M in Series A

Cybersecurity specialist Minerva has closed a $7.5 million Series A funding round led by Amplify Partners.

Minerva will leverage this funding to accelerate adoption and deployment of its Anti-Evasion Platform, which helps strengthen endpoint security to prevent unknown threats that are designed to evade existing defenses. The investment will also support immediate growth and expansion opportunities in North America. Additional investors that participated in this funding round include StageOne Ventures and Webb Investment Network.

“We’re excited to support Minerva, who has created a truly unique approach to endpoint security. Through this investment, Minerva is well positioned to redefine how enterprises secure their endpoints, while significantly improving the efficacy of their existing security investments,” said Mike Dauber, general partner, Amplify Partners.

Despite sustained investments in security solutions, endpoints are still being infected with advanced malware. Minerva’s platform controls the way malicious software perceives its reality. Instead of attempting to seek and identify malware, Minerva’s Anti-Evasion Platform creates a virtual reality on the endpoint that causes malware to disarm itself.

“We are thrilled to have Amplify Partners, StageOne Ventures and Webb Investment Network on board to help move Minerva into the forefront of endpoint security,” said Eddy Bobritsky, co-founder and CEO of Minerva. “At Minerva, we provide a critical layer to endpoint security, which if not implemented, leaves many organizations vulnerable. Endpoint defenses that attempt to detect malice by extrapolating from previously-seen patterns are subject to evasion. We are focused on preventing threats that are designed to evade existing defenses without attempting to seek and identify malware, introducing unique capabilities to significantly strengthen the endpoint’s security posture. Through this investment, we will continue to develop solutions that redefine endpoint prevention and help enterprises maximize the value of their security existing tools.”
