Nagomi Security Emerges from Stealth with $30 Million to Maximize Threat Prevention

Nagomi Security, which provides proactive security and threat exposure management, emerged from stealth with $30 million in funding. This investment round, it noted, should allow it to redefine how security teams optimize effectiveness and drive efficiency from existing security tools.

The company operated in stealth mode with seed funding from Team8. The recent round was led by TCV, with participation from CrowdStrike Falcon Fund and Okta Ventures. Nagomi is also backed by leading angel investors Shlomo Kramer (Check Point’s founder), Imperva, Cato Networks, Nir Polak (Exabeam’s founder), Guy Podjarni (Snyk’s founder) and Galina Antova (Claroty’s founder).

The financing will primarily be used to accelerate go-to-market and R&D efforts to meet global demand for proactive security and threat exposure management.

With a mission to help cybersecurity teams focus on real world threats, Nagomi’s Proactive Defense platform helps maximize security stack effectiveness to defend against emerging, relevant threats that are being carried out in the wild. The platform transforms fragmented, best-of-breed solutions into best-of-suite security by providing end-to-end visibility of defense capabilities, mapped against MITRE ATT&CK. With this information, Nagomi helps security teams prioritize most-urgent risk based on an organization’s unique threat profile. It also provides prescriptive and actionable remediation plans to reduce threat exposure using existing tools.

“We have our sights set on solving one of the most pervasive problems in cybersecurity today,” said Emanuel Salmona, the co-founder and CEO of Nagomi Security. “We’ve seen that over 80 percent of breaches occur at organizations that already had a tool in place to prevent it, and security teams are increasingly frustrated that they can’t be sure that the solutions they have deployed are protecting them against real threats. By mapping threats like ransomware, phishing, and other seen-in-the-wild campaigns and techniques, Nagomi shows security teams their level of protection and provides a plan of action to drive better defense.”

Nagomi – which was formerly known as Vena Security and co-founded by Salmona, Shai Mendel and Jonathan Meler – launched its flagship platform in 2023.

As part of the announcement, Nagomi also added to its leadership team with Nathan Burke (CMO), Joseph Hoban (VP of sales), Morgan Gerlak (director).
