NetCarrier has expanded its nCloud offering to include infrastructure as a service, available via channel partners nationwide.
The appropriately named Cloud Server will include 50GB of storage and the Linux CENT OS operating system, with options to upgrade to Red Hat or Microsoft Server 2008.
“This is the next logical step in our cloud evolution,” said Bruce Wirt, vice president of channel sales at NetCarrier. “More than ever before, clients are looking for a technology partner that can give them on-demand scalability with the inherent redundancy that’s only possible in a cloud environment.”
NetCarrier’s nCloud product suite utilizes six data center facilities located in greater Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Denver to give clients both machine and geographical redundancy. The nCloud Server product will be primarily located in the Internap facility in Massachusetts.
“Internap is a world class facility with top notch security,” Wirt added. “Keeping customers’ data in a state-of-the-art U.S.-based facility was very important in our product development process, and will separate us from our competitors’ commoditized offerings.”
