Nextivity Appoints Channel Veep

Nextivity Inc. today announced that Jim Berridge has joined the company in the role of vice president of sales for North America, where he is responsible for channel sales activity in the U.S. and Canada for Cel-Fi smart signal boosters.

Based in Atlanta, Berridge heads a team specifically focused on serving the needs of AT&T, one of 146 carriers in 74 countries that have authorized Cel-Fi for use on their network.

“Jim’s leadership skills and extensive distribution experience are invaluable assets as we expand our major account marketing and field support activities for AT&T,” said Werner Sievers, CEO of Nextivity. “He is building a team with a stellar track record working with large distributors and OEMs, enabling us to target growth opportunities for Cel-Fi among our key customers.”

Berridge brings with him more than 25 years of leadership experience in mobile sales and distribution. Prior to joining Nextivity, he was senior vice president of sales for personal communications devices (PCD), where he was responsible for the AT&T Mobility account, and expanding the company’s product portfolio.

Before PCD, Berridge held a number of leadership roles, including vice president of sales and marketing for Pantech; vice president of business development for GoTV Networks; and a variety of sales, marketing and business development roles at Nokia. He has also held sales level roles at MCI and UPS.
