NTT Com Named a Magic Quadrant Leader for DRaaS

NTT Communications has been recognized for its cloud-based disaster recovery services, and positioned as a leader in the Magic Quadrant for disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) by Gartner Inc.

Gartner estimates the size of the DRaaS market to be approximately $1.3 billion, with a related compound annual growth rate of approximately 30 percent. By 2018, Gartner estimates that the size of the DRaaS market will exceed that of the market for more traditional subscription‐based disaster recovery services.

According to its report on the subject, “wider adoption of DRaaS can be largely attributed to the proven viability of cloud‐based solutions.”

“DRaaS is quickly becoming a highly diverse market evolving from a service that appealed mainly to small businesses, to one that serves organizations of all sizes across all verticals, and NTT Communications is proud to be distinguished as a leader,” said Nayan Naik, senior director of product strategy at NTT Com.

He added, “However, despite industry progress, disaster preparedness is often overlooked, leaving companies in a vulnerable position; a reality reaffirmed by NTT Com’s Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Readiness Survey. With our hybrid cloud‐based DR solutions, we help companies identify their weaknesses and prepare them for any disaster event.”

NTT Com’s DRaaS portfolio provides a variety of cloud‐based services, including cloud recovery and cloud back‐up, which serve as a key element of a company’s disaster recovery plan (or provide a full solution), allowing a business to operate as normal during planned or unplanned outages. NTT Com’s DRaaS offering also includes its enterprise cloud resources and disaster recovery consulting services, in addition to unlimited failover and recovery testing, all with the goal to deliver each customer the best disaster-recovery and business-continuity program for their business.

NTT Com also has a global data center footprint with infrastructure in over 196 countries.
