Pit Stop in Atlanta, Georgia Shifts into High Gear
SCOTTSDALE, AZ -The green flag officially dropped on the latest stop of the PlanetOne “Delivering the Dream” Telecom Tour – this time at the Legends of Georgia Speed Drive at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

In the PlanetOne tradition of “work hard, play harder,” while the industry was gearing up for the 2012 Channel Partners Conference and Expo in Orlando, PlanetOne held an adrenaline-pounding event for agents, vendors and guests as they took to the high speed racetrack to perform white-knuckle left turns in official Legends racecars.
Of course, it wasn’t all screeching tires and exhaust fumes. Attendees were also treated to special appearances and seminars from industry leaders.
Executives and visionaries from Earthlink Business, Ernest Communications, InContact, Windstream and XO Communications were all on hand to share their insights from the podium and then partake in the day’s festivities – including an all-American feast (crepes were not on the menu) and an open bar.
PlanetOne’s reputation for putting on these types of industry events is legendary, as attendees traveled from various corners of the country to attend.
“(The event was) well worth the five-hour drive,” declared agent Chris Terrell of Telecom Management Services. “The presentations were engaging and driving the Legends cars was exhilarating! PlanetOne has again proven to be the most interesting and inspiring Master Agent in the business.”
Ted “Shake ‘n Bake” Schuman, CEO of PlanetOne and emcee for the day, certainly kept it interesting. He made his grand entrance sporting a Wonder® bread racing suit like the one worn by actor Will Ferrell in the hit comedy “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.”
“This is the first event we’ve done at the racetrack and it certainly won’t be our last,” said Schuman. “All of the excitement and positive feedback – it exceeded our expectations ten-fold and we’re ready to do it all again.”
Attendees of the Atlanta event couldn’t agree more. “I have been to many channel partner events, with other Master Agents, but I have never had more fun than I did today,” said Craig Pierce of Tri-Solve. “I was able to meet some people to help me grow my business AND I got to check something off my “Bucket List.” All in all, it was a great day!”
