PTC ’14 is just around the corner, and panelists are starting to gear up for sessions and keynotes.
“Whether in terms of economics, technology, competition, regulatory policy, industry structure or customer needs, we are entering a new world, encompassing shifts in mobility, big data, cloud computing and the Internet of Things, growing cyber threats, and subsea and satellite,” said conference co-chairs Francis Pereira, Masaaki Sakamaki and Joe Weinman. “To compete effectively in this new world requires new strategies, rather than attempting to make do with approaches that may have served well in the past.”
PTC’14: New World, New Strategies is one to watch: it will examine how technology will leverage techniques such as virtualization and software defined networking to evolve and meet growing demand for data-hungry innovations.
Moderator Ina Fried, senior editor at All Things Digital will be joined by Pacnet CEO Carl Grivner, Margaret Dawson, vice president of product marketing and cloud evangelist at HP Cloud Services, and Lew Tucker, vice president and CTO of cloud computing at Cisco. The session, which takes place Monday, January 20 at 11:40 a.m. local time
Meanwhile, Executive Insight Roundtable 1: Carriers, set to take place on Monday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. local time, will offer service provider insights.
