Simbian Names Head of Partnerships to Grow its Channel

Simbian welcomed Norman Currie as head of partnerships, a position through which he will lead the channel and technical alliances organization.

Currie – who officially joined the leadership team earlier this month – brings a two-decade career in cybersecurity. Simbian touted the exec as a “results-driven” leader known for developing global partnerships, operational excellence and business growth. For this role, he can leverage his deep expertise in managed security services, SaaS solutions and strategic go-to-market initiatives.

Over the years, Currie has contributed to scaling businesses, fostering high-value alliances and optimizing partner and customer experiences, having led multi-million-dollar initiatives, including global leadership for channel enablement and presales for the MSSP/SI/SP/OEM routes to market for McAfee. He also led the inception and growth of managed security services with Accuvant (OPTIV) and spearheaded global CX and service organizations for firms such as Binary Defense, Hunters, Expel and ZeroFox.

Following the launch of its channel program in 2024, Simbian signed strategic relationships with various partners worldwide. Today it is 100 percent partner-driven, with all Simbian products sold through one of its partners. The company also works closely with more than a dozen MSSPs. Plus, its VAR, MDR, MSSP and SP/SI partners work as a force multiplier in bringing AI SOC to customers.

With Currie at the helm, Simbian is building a partner-first GTM model to make it a go-to AI agent technology platform for partnerships and alliances across the security landscape.

“AI’s impact on the security landscape is just beginning and Simbian is at the forefront of this transformation,” said Currie. “I’m proud to join Ambuj and the entire Simbian team to lead the partner organization. I’ve seen firsthand their commitment to understanding the needs of the market, and as a result they have developed solutions that excel at solving real customer problems. My goal every day is to enable our partners and create mutual value. We are working with our partners to accelerate the AI transformation and make every customer more efficient and confident in security outcomes. It’s time to embrace being a security misfit, because it’s the misfits that can change the world.”
