Sponsored Content: Multapplied’s SD-WAN puts YOU in Control of Your Security Infrastructure

How often do you see the phrase “no rules” apply to a technology offering? In today’s world of tightly governed licensing models and end user agreements, it’s pretty rare.

So, our customers sometimes look at us funny when we tell them that we can provide SD-WAN on their terms. No rules. Plain and simple.

In short, we offer a closed source, open architecture platform that you can use to white label SD-WAN as your own offering.

What you do with our platform is up to you. You have the freedom to sell it at a 5%, or a 500% markup, and to manage it however you deem fit. You even have the freedom to cancel at any time, no questions asked, if you don’t like it. Multapplied is sold as a subscription, with a licensing model that scales with your sales growth on a per site basis.

We provide you with lightning-fast connectivity (supported by aggregated bandwidth and same IP Failover) and enable you to create WANs across multiple connections and geographies. How you handle the rest is truly up to you.

With this in mind, our approach to security is no different. Multapplied’s SD-WAN fits seamlessly into any existing security architecture. We allow you to choose what firewall you put in, and what appliances. You can choose what data centers you want, and even layer your physical and digital security services on top of our offerings.

Multapplied’s SD-WAN is hardware, carrier and firewall agnostic.

By now you are probably wondering: Why are we so flexible when it comes to security? After all, few other providers offer these types of liberties.

We do this because we know that your network is too complex for us to tell you what works and what does not for your business. Your business is facing more threats than ever, and you should be able to determine how you want to protect your sensitive data.

That being said, Multapplied does contain some essential security features:

  • Since Multapplied leverages numerous live circuits, if a hacker should breach an individual internet connection and attempt to eavesdrop on your private communications, only a small piece of your traffic will be exposed.
  • Our packet-based system sprays data across multiple circuits, carriers and transmission methods within a proprietary tunnel, which can be further enhanced for additional security. Traffic gets authenticated by a receiving server with a hash-based message authentication code (HMAC, from RFC2104). Because of this, an attacker can’t intercept or alter data packets as they flow between sites.
  • Our communications are also protected by the Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS) in three cipher strengths: AES128, AES256 and Salsa20.

As you can see, you’ll be in good hands with Multapplied—that is, your own. We provide you with a secure, robust and flexible platform and allow you and your team of trusted security experts to layer your own preferred security solutions, with no questions asked.

For service providers, this is an opportunity to either offer your own proprietary services or partner with third party providers for additional revenue-generating opportunities.

Of course, network security today is about more than just keeping bad actors out of your network. It’s also about having peace of mind, and maintaining uptime—particularly for mission critical businesses that cannot afford unplanned connectivity loss. As such, Multapplied can be fortified with seamless LTE backup for additional protection.
