Telecom Brokers Expands in Southeast with Ethertel Acquisition

Telecom Brokers, a full-service cloud and technology distributor, has acquired the customer base and other assets of Nashville, Tenn.-based master agency Ethertel Networks.

As part of the acquisition, Ethertel has become a new Telecom Brokers branch office, and will act as a linchpin for Telecom Brokers’ fast-moving expansion throughout the Southern United States.

Wes Spining, the former President of Ethertel Networks, will be staying on as Vice President of Sales, South, for Telecom Brokers. He is tasked with expanding the location’s current operations, and building up both an agent sales force and a direct sales force throughout the region.

“We’re very excited about being acquired by Telecom Brokers, and about the opportunity to merge our talents into such an amazing master agency,” Spining said. “We plan on putting Telecom Brokers on the map in the Southeast, and creating the type of brand awareness that so many master agencies don’t currently have. Businesses today deserve transparency with the carrier options available to them, and carriers need to be able to trust that their portfolios of products and services are being correctly presented to their target audience. We’re here to provide both.”

This is the sixth acquisition for Telecom Brokers thus far, but marks the first time that the company has converted a master agency into a company extension.

“This acquisition is so meaningful for us,” said Dom Antonini, President of Telecom Brokers. “I feel very strongly that bringing Wes and Ethertel on as part of our internal organization marks the beginning of an exciting fresh chapter for Telecom Brokers. We offered Wes a sizeable signing bonus to become part of the team and to remain exclusive to Telecom Brokers, because we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to establish a location in the South with such a quality team. I could not be more excited for the year ahead for our combined forces.”

Ethertel brings to Telecom Brokers 15 years in telecom, along with a loyal and diverse customer base of 600+ businesses ranging from five to 5,000 employees, across a range of verticals and in locations spanning 30 states.

“We are proud of what we’ve built in Nashville, and I’m excited to forge these two businesses together to create something bigger,” Spining said. “Our personnel and the knowledge base already in place will be significantly enhanced, and it’s exciting for us to be able to carry the Telecom Brokers name and run a sales division with a full complement of the company’s comprehensive resources behind us. We’re looking forward to entering a high-growth phase and gaining notable market traction throughout 2016 and beyond.”
