Telesystem to Hire Channel Manager for Western US

Telesystem announced the hiring of veteran telecommunications executive Ron McNab (pictured) as a national channel manager in the western United States.

McNab most recently served as chief revenue officer at Effortless Office, and prior to that, he was a senior vice president at Airespring for 14 years.

In his new role, McNab will have responsibility for Telesystem’s elite technology brokers in the western United States, including Telarus, Intelisys and Sandler Partners.

“I have known Ron McNab for over 15 years, and we are fortunate to have a seasoned channel champion like him join our team,” said Telesystem Channel Strategy Manager Ken Mercer. “We build relationships with people we want to work with, and Ron has a lot of people that want to work with him. You only get that kind of partnership from someone that consistently does the right thing and genuinely cares about the relationships they hold.”

National channel managers are accountable for relationship management at all levels of Telesystem’s elite technology brokers, as well as product positioning, event and campaign planning, and partner education. They work in tandem with Telesystem’s regional channel managers, which are responsible for assisting technology distributors with quotes, demonstrations, and sales activity.

“I have been Blessed to have had time to spend with family and now I’m looking forward to getting back to work,” said McNabb. “Telesystem has an excellent reputation, and I’m excited to join what I think is a ‘Dream Team’. I look forward to working with the Telesystem team.”

Telesystem’s channel program has seen tremendous growth over the last year, with a 42 percent increase in active partners, and more than a 200 percent increase in partner onboardings quarter over quarter. A partner onboarding is when a new technology distributor (formerly called a sub agent) is signed up under a broker (formerly called a master agent) and is trained to sell Telesystem services.

“Ron is a great fit to the Telesystem team and the company culture,” said Telesystem Chief Revenue Officer Bruce Wirt.  “I’ve known Ron for many years, and his relationships and reputation are as good as they come. Ron will have a tremendous impact on the growth of our program in the western part of the country.”
