Telinta Partners with Windstream, Polycom and Expands MVNO Platform

Telinta, a provider of cloud-based VoIP switching and billing solutions, has announced partnerships with Windstream and Polycom, and has enhanced its MVNO offering.

Windstream’s Wholesale division partnered with Telinta to better serve the needs of VoIP service providers via Telinta’s cloud-based platform. Windstream Wholesale’s DID services will be available directly from Telinta’s hosted softswitch platform.

VoIP origination, such as direct inward dialing (DID), is a SIP-based service and a vital component in local phone numbers needed for hosted PBX, SIP trunking, mobile VoIP, calling card, PINless and other services provided via Telinta’s hosted switching and billing platform.

“Windstream Wholesale’s high-quality DID services are the perfect complement to Telinta’s hosted softswitch platform,” said John Nishimoto, vice president of business development for Windstream’s Wholesale business unit. “We look forward to helping Telinta customers grow their business via our first-class, reliable VoIP origination solutions.”

Meanwhile, Telinta has developed auto-provisioning profiles for many popular Polycom phones, to streamline their provisioning  for Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs). This includes select models of the VVX series of IP desktop phones, SoundStation IP conference phones and others.

These profiles are cloud-based tools enabling ITSPs to quickly automate deployments of Polycom’s IP phones via Telinta’s softswitch platform. They can provision IP phones, activate new features and update software, using the same platform used to perform other key business processes such as routing calls, billing and customer management. Telinta’s platform can also be used to easily update firmware, and activate and deactivate features.

“We deeply value our partnership with Telinta.” said Shawn Puddester, Polycom’s vice president, Global Service Providers. “Their advancement for auto-provisioning streamlines and simplifies the process of pairing Polycom’s industry-leading IP Phones with Telinta’s award-winning softswitch, improving our combined solution.”

And finally, Telinta has expanded the direct calling capabilities for its TeliSIM MVNO solution with roaming agreements in 10 new countries.

This addition makes direct calling available in areas served by 93 mobile operators in over 60 countries across Europe, Africa the Middle East, Asia, North and South America (including the United States), and other locations.  TeliSIM can be used virtually anywhere a GSM signal is available, and includes low-cost roaming agreements with over 600 mobile operators around the world.

“TeliSIM enables VoIP service providers to truly start their own highly-profitable MVNO business, using any VoIP termination and DID providers they need,” explained Alex Ferdman, CEO of Telinta.  “Direct calling makes it faster and easier for end users to place calls, giving Telinta customers a competitive advantage.”
