Telstra has named Mikoto Anzai to lead key partner relationships in the U.S. and Canada as part of continued growth of its Americas organization.
Telstra Americas sees the newly-created position as an essential role on the company’s partnerships team, and as Director, Partners and Alliances, Mikoto brings substantial performance-driven partner management and business development experience from 15 years at BT in the Americas.
Based in Los Angeles, she reports into Przemek Zajic, Telstra Americas Vice President for Strategy, Operations and Partnerships, and will play a key part of the company’s Enterprise and Technology go-to-market sales approach.
Telstra Americas provides secure, fast and resilient infrastructure to North American and Canadian enterprises as well as wholesale carriers, including more than 250,000 miles of subsea cables that connect North America to the Asia Pacific region, extensive teams on the ground in Asia Pacific with local knowledge, and ongoing investment and flexibility to benefit customers and their customers. Telstra has focused on making connecting North America to Asia Pacific easy and recently ranked third in the 2021 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Network Services, Global for Intra-Asia/Pacific use case.
Most recently, Mikoto was Director, Wholesales & Strategic Alliances for BT Americas, leading strategic partner relationships in the Americas with a focus on Latin America. Managing a diverse team of channel sales managers in more than 10 countries supporting service providers and carriers in the region, over a three-year period Mikoto improved executive engagements by aligning strategic and planning decisions. She launched the regional partner program in collaboration with leading global technology partners such as Cisco, Riverbed, Infovista and Poly among others.
Prior to that role, Mikoto was Senior Business Development Manager for BT Global Strategic Alliances. From 2012 to 2016 she led the development of the alliance partnership program with service providers, carriers and system integrators. She influenced stakeholders securing investment to efficiently operationalize targeted partners.
Previously, Mikoto was Senior Major Accounts Manager for BT Latin America, where she managed 17 indirect channels in Latin America reselling global networking solutions to enterprise customers. Over a seven-year period, she led channel management through strategy direction, portfolio positioning, efficient sales enablement lifecycle, continuous training, targeted marketing events and branding.
