Thinking Phone Networks, which provides unified communications as a service (UCaaS) via the channel, has announced its launch into the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region and the opening of a regional headquarters in Amsterdam. In addition, the company announced the appointment of Ronald Rubens as vice president of the region.
“I am excited to launch the most innovative cloud-based UC services in the industry to a wide range of customers in Europe,” noted Rubens. “Thinking Phone Networks offers revolutionary analytics-driven software applications via a global delivery model that includes integrated back-office tools to speed service deployment. We believe this award-winning solution will be very well received by EMEA business partners.”
Thinking Phone Networks offers enterprise UC capabilities and analytics via the ThinkingSuite software platform, which is a cloud communications solution with applications spanning IP voice, mobility, video, analytics, presence, messaging, contact center and conferencing. The cloud-based approach lowers upfront capital and ongoing operational cost vis a vis legacy premises hardware such as traditional PBX systems, the company said.
“Increasingly, distributed organizations expect richer communications and collaborative functions so information and ideas can be shared, and decisions made, more quickly, and organizations can be more agile,” according to ‘Gartner Forecast: Enterprise Unified Communications, Steve Cramoysan, September 21, 2012.’ “Enterprises, organizations and users are attracted by the potential of UC to deliver productivity benefits at a user level. They see the possibility of achieving business benefits at a team or enterprisewide level by offering better customer support and reducing latency in business processes.”
“Global demand for cloud communications services is increasing, particularly in the EMEA region,” said Steve Kokinos, president and CEO of Thinking Phone Networks. “We are pleased to have Ronald join our global team. He brings an extensive record building strong sales and marketing organizations in the region and has an intimate understanding of the key drivers of cloud communications growth, including the increasingly mobile and distributed ways of work as well as the desire to lower communications overhead and costs.”
Ronald Rubens brings more than 23 years of experience in the enterprise communications and cloud industry, with a diverse background that includes senior management positions in sales, marketing, strategy, and product management. Prior to joining Thinking Phone Networks, Rubens held executive positions with Avaya, CosmoCom and NEC.
The European headquarters will coordinate the company’s sales, marketing, and operations activities in the EMEA region.
