Toshiba has launched a new channel partner program aimed at managed IT service providers (MSPs) wanting to integrate the Toshiba Virtual Desktop Service (VDS) into their portfolios.
“Hosted, virtualized desktops are an increasingly more compelling solution for companies confronting the dual challenges of cost constraints and increasingly mobile and dispersed workforces,” said Terry Cronin, vice president of business development and marketing for cloud Services and solutions at Toshiba America Information Systems. “We’ve invested considerable time and resources in learning from MSPs how to bring a service like this to their customers and developed our program to best meet their needs.”
The program provides a monthly revenue stream for the duration of the customer’s contract. And, a deal registration program rovides a rebate when partners register sales opportunities and book valid sales.
Toshiba said that it will work with MSPs on custom product configurations, along with custom marketing campaigns tailored to their specific needs including sales collateral, email templates, content, Webinars and events. The company will also include a full range of training and support materials such as training courses, user guides and videos as well as a hands-on evaluation demonstration.
“Partnering with Toshiba, we were able to enhance our portfolio with a reliable, fast and easily scalable virtual desktop solution that can fit the varying needs of each of our customers,” said Steve Churchill, president and CEO, PreferredPartner. “Not only does Toshiba deliver the technology, but they provide the training tools and marketing support that help us be successful.”
Toshiba offers package options with a minimum of 50 desktops and a six–month contract commitment. The Standard Desktop Package includes 1 virtual CPU, 2GB RAM, 20GB for OS and 5GB of user storage, and the Power Desktop Package includes 2 virtual CPUs, 4GB RAM, 40GB for OS and 10GB of user storage.
