TraceSecurity, a provider of cloud-based IT governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management solutions, has appointed Mike Carpenter as vice president of channel sales.
Carpenter spent 16 years as a former senior leader and consultant at KPMG, where he led the firm’s Southeast consulting practice, and launched and grew the information risk management unit.
As TraceSecurity’s vice president of channel sales, Carpenter has a strategic and transformational role that includes channel recruitment, training and support, as well as the development and guidance for critical processes, such as as sales automation, market segmentation and the integration of TraceSecurity’s information security services and TraceCSO solution as a channel offering.
“My goal in 2015 is to help TraceSecurity channel partners solve a large range of traditionally complex security and compliance challenges for their customer base,” said Carpenter. “The ability to deliver unprecedented visibility into a customer’s risk and compliance posture enables our partner network to detect, document and mitigate risk on an on-going basis, fast-becoming a valued and strategic partner in the customer’s security practice.”
TraceSecurity plans to grow its channel business significantly in 2015, and has added a “channel success team” to the organization that includes dedicated technical, relationship and marketing resources.
“Mike has proven strategic and execution success,” said Peter Stewart, CEO and president at TraceSecurity. “He has a highly-focused grasp of IT security, IT GRC, cloud business intelligence and risk management. This rich combination of technical expertise and business insight makes him an ideal leader for driving mainstream adoption of security and compliance solutions through innovative channel strategies.”
