Trellix Revamps Xtend Partner Program

Trellix, which delivers an AI-powered cybersecurity platform, has fully refreshed its global Xtend partner program. Xtend is designed to bolster flexibility in order to drive partner growth and value. With it,  partners are equipped with a model focused on mutual growth, profitability and long-term success as they enable customers to combat cyberthreats via the Trellix AI-powered security platform.

In addition, Trellix promoted Kurt Mills to SVP and global channel chief, effective immediately.

“The security expertise of our partners is crucial for creating solutions to safeguard customer data, protect reputations and defend businesses against increasingly sophisticated and complex cyberattacks,” said Mills. “Trellix shares in our partners’ mission to deliver innovative and scalable cybersecurity, built to strengthen operational resilience, and we’ve revitalized our partner program to position our partners best to achieve their goals.”

Trellix Xtend – along with the expertise provided by partners – ensures customers have access to the complete Trellix security platform, including security controls spanning endpoint, data, network, email, cloud and third-party integrations for cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployments. All are tailored to unique organizational need.

Trellix Xtend is built on four pillars:

  • Coverage, including a revamped partner-management portal and enhanced learning program to allow partners to address diverse customer need across industries and geographies, ensuring more effective, comprehensive cybersecurity.
  • Competency, as partners are well-positioned as trusted advisors, capable of solving complex cybersecurity challenges through advanced training, certifications and tools. Partners can now develop technical specializations across endpoint security, NDR, XDR, data security and email and collaboration security.
  • Contribution, with Xtend focusing on mutual value creation through sales growth and market expansion, and partners supported with new tools, resources and profitability-enhancing initiatives. New tiers provide partners with a richer incentive and rebate structure built to reward enablement, collaboration and contribution across an account lifecycle.
  • Commitment, as Xtend builds long-term, collaborative partnerships with aligned goals and robust support, incentives and resources to drive shared success. Through a new centralized coverage model, Trellix partners benefit from predictability, continuity and joint business planning.

Trellix Xtend consists of the Security Innovation Alliance, OEM & Embedded Alliance, solution providers, security advisors and marketplace partners.

Mills, meanwhile, will drive focus, increase engagement, reward partner contribution through channel transformation initiatives, integrate Trellix’s channel and field teams into one unit and continue to modernize Xtend.

He brings over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a track record of building and evolving channel teams to deliver a rewarding partner experience. He joined Trellix in June of 2024 as VP, global channels, and led efforts to strengthen alignment with partners by expanding channel leadership, enhancing partner certifications to align with industry best practices and advancing specialized partner readiness. Mills previously served as head of global system integrator and advisory partner sales with Check Point.

“Trellix’s partner ecosystem is integral to our global sales strategy, and we’re committed to helping drive growth for them through continuous investments in our partner program,” said Trellix CRO, Jason Andrew. “Kurt’s deep expertise in cybersecurity shaped our enhanced Trellix Xtend partner program, and we’re confident increased collaboration and partner focus across our organization will help define quality engagements for our partners.”
