TPx Communications has appointed Clark Peterson to its board of directors.
Peterson brings nearly 30 years of experience in unified communications as a service (UCaaS), wireline and wireless services, most recently as the president and then chief evangelist at Vonage Business.
Peterson has held senior leadership roles at several leading communications companies, building them up from their formative years to help them become some of the most successful and respected names in the industry. Prior to his tenure at Vonage, he served as the CEO of UCaaS provider Telesphere, president of mobile and fixed wireless provider Clearwire, and regional president at XO Communications.
In addition to his new role on TPx’s board, Peterson currently serves as the chairman of the Cloud Communications Alliance, an industry association dedicated to the growth of the cloud communications industry. He also serves on the boards of UCaaS provider Alianza, the Arizona Technology Council, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.
“I’m really excited to be joining the TPx team and help them accelerate their growth in the managed services market by leveraging the growth opportunity in UCaaS, contact center, and managed IT services,” said Peterson. “They have a fantastic collection of product capabilities, unlike anyone else out there. Combined with their focus on the customer, they have a tremendous opportunity to increase their market share. I look forward to helping them shape their product roadmap for years to come, including the next frontier in CPaaS [communications platform as a service].”
Peterson joins a distinguished lineup on TPx’s board of directors, including members from its investors Investcorp and Clarity Partners, its founder David Glickman, Governor Pete Wilson, and Dick Jalkut, the board’s chairman and CEO of TPx Communications.
“I’m delighted to welcome Clark on TPx’s board of directors,” said Jalkut. “He brings extensive industry experience that will benefit our already robust Unified Communications line of business, which has over 150,000 seats installed and is rapidly growing. Clark’s presence on our board is further proof of TPx’s leadership as a national UCaaS and managed services provider. I look forward to his insights, and I am confident that his expertise will have a positive impact on our company.”
