United Network Services Inc. (UNSi) has added SimpleSignal, a provider of cloud-based unified communications and collaboration, as an ecosystem partner.
UNSi has established a network-to-network interface (NNI) between UNSi’s MPLS network and SimpleSignal’s voice platform, so that customers can deliver UC over UNSi’s managed MPLS footprint: translating to Quality of Service (QoS) for customers.
“We believe that UNSi is one of the strongest MPLS providers in the industry and are excited to meet our customer demands nationwide by leveraging their expansive reach, which opens up many more opportunities for us,” said Michael Sterl, executive vice president for SimpleSignal.
UNSi’s Ecosystem Program brings together agents and wholesale partners on UNSi’s nationwide, IP network, interconnecting various types of service providers to create cohesive bundled services for end-users. The MPLS backbone network can serve organizations with multiple locations across the country that require QoS for cloud-based voice applications such as hosted PBX, SIP trunking, mobile integration, voice apps and desktop collaboration.
“We are thrilled to partner with a very reputable cloud-based voice company like SimpleSignal,” said Allan Schwartz, senior vice president of strategic planning and business development for UNSi. “Both of our customer bases will benefit tremendously from this partnership by the growing demand for cloud-based services.”
