Vertek Corporation, a telecom operation and managed security services provider, announced that Jorge Reis (left) has succeeded Brad Soutiere as company President as part of a long-planned succession search and that Ron Hruby has been promoted to COO.
Reis has been serving as Chief Strategy Officer since March 2022. Prior to joining Vertek, Reis had spent 19 years with Telstra, a $28 billion communications carrier headquartered in Australia, the last five of which were as COO of Telstra Americas.
In that role, Reis was instrumental in increasing operational agility, seeking out new revenue opportunities, and increasing profitability. Reis also ran his own consulting company for three years, where he worked closely with Vertek on special projects as well as other U.S. and Asia-based ICT companies.
Soutiere, who is the outgoing President and COO will remain at Vertek as Chief Revenue Officer providing advisory and sales leadership to support the company’s growth strategy.
Hruby (right) begins his new role after previously serving as the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Cybersecurity.
